Sayonara, Japan
Believe it or Not; We have Made an About Turn!
27.04.2018
We love Kyushu but trouble with full hotels in 2 cities & getting lost trying to find a guesthouse (map wrong) & it being Golden week which is a big holiday until May 6 & maybe an age thing as we are not comfortable 'Commando' Camping as the young people do. The people of Japan are very accommodating & friendly, the countryside is lush & full of birds.
We think Japan, a more formal country requires pre-booking which can be difficult if you like to wander as we do.
This photo besides showing Jims beard also shows the usual size of the bike shoulder, the drivers are great & stop for us, unlike in Korea where some pretend they do not SEE you.
The photo of green field is rice. The red temple is called a Torii,, Shinto, denotes the separation between common space & sacred space.
We have changed our flight & fly home from Seoul May 16th. We take the ferry to Busan, Korea tommorrow & you guessed it ride back 600k to Seoul.
They say never retrace your steps but...
No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.
Heraclitus
So, Jim will not have to mutter to himself "on your left" to remind him what side of the road to be on & he can revisit his relationship with Kim-chi
(Pickled cabbage)
The Adventure continues, 2 Cylco Paths.
